It really depends on the type of workout you are doing. Throughout the day before your workouts, it’s best to drink water. After a long run or a race, grab a Gatorade to replenish those electrolytes.

How do I know if I’m hydrated?
One of the best indicators is the color of your urine. When you are hydrated, your urine will be light yellow. When you are dehydrated, your urine will be dark yellow.
Should I drink eight glasses of water per day?
Nutritionists have always suggested that we drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Now studies say this rule doesn’t apply and that it depends on how thirsty you are.
