About Rock the Block Run

Rock the Block is a 10K (timed), 5K walk/run (family-friendly), and a free Kids Run. The event includes scenic courses, food, music, vendors, awards and giveaways-guaranteeing fun for everyone!
Proceeds benefit organizations serving youth and families in Johnson County.

Awards are given for top finishers Male and Female in each age category of 5K and 10K in these age groups:

Event Day Parking
Please park in student lots east of Center Grove High School off Stones Crossing Road. Follow the green event parking signs.
Getting Around the Area
Rock the Block is a fun time for people of all ages, and benefits the Center Grove community. However, the event also creates a busy time around the Center Grove High School area.
We work with the Johnson County Highway Department and other county officials to make certain participants and their families get around safely. We also minimize traffic disruptions to our neighbors near the high school.

Tax Deduction FYI
The majority of the registration fee is not tax deductible because the participants are getting something back (shirts and goodie bags).
The majority of the money raised and paid towards other 501c3s are from the sponsorships from the event. The registration fees help cover the operational costs of the event.
If your are not participating in the event, but contribute directly or sign up for the Sleep-In option, your donation could be considered 100% percent tax deductible. Pay it Forward Johnson County, which hosts the event, is a 501c3 that contracts with Get Me Registered software to handle the registration process.
